Kekova
The mainland area within sight of the island has much antiquity to share. Submerged ruins of a Byzantine city are visible through the crystal clear azure waters along the shore of Kekova island. Lycian rock tombs (some submerged) dot the landscape like Joshua tree cactii in the Joshua Tree National Park. Ucagiz is a tiny fishing village, and Kale (ancient Simena) sits below the ramparts of a Roman castle. A climb up to the castle provides spectacular views and Kodak moments.
